| Description: |
Part of the Ponzian placenames
are in Napolitan dialect. This is due to the fact the in 1734 the Island of
Ponza became re-inhabited by settlers from Ischia and Naples, donating to the
island a variety of denominations. It is practicable with medium sized boats,
and the depth varies between 6 to 3 metres. It is convenient to anchor near
the Arch due to the frequent coming and going of boats.
In is not accessible via land, there are guided tours from the Port. The distance
is of 1,9 miles and takes approx 19 minutes. It remains in the shade from approx
3:30 pm. onwards
