It inherits its name due to the
presence of large sacs of water still present today and which still filter through
the rocks. However, the supply of water to the Island is via Ship tanks. It
is accessible via land and is situated 4,6 miles from the Port, taking a 46
minute walk. The sun is present in this area from 8:30 am. Until 30 minutes
before dawn.
Cala dell'Acqua is the only area in the Le Forna fraction that can be reached
by foot. It is also possible to hire a boat or to be guided until the stacks
of Lucia Rosa.
