In this area one can easily see
the tunnel of the Ancient Greek - Roman aqueduct that from the Cala dell'Acqua
goes all the way into the inhabited centre of the Island of Ponza. In the second
half of the XVIII century large steps where dug in the rock ( which are still
in used today), to reach from the port the homes of the Torresi collonials which
had established themselves in Le Forna. Next to these homes there is the path
that leads to the fraction of Le Forna .
It is accessible only via land and is 1,8 miles from the Port. It is approx
an 18 minute walk. This area remains in the shade from 4:30 pm. Onwa
