One can reach it by land, and
is 3 miles from the Port Via Guardia, a 30 minute walk. The sun shines from
8:00 am until sunset.
There is a wreck of a an ancient guard core and a path that leads to the Fieno
via sea (80% difficulty factor). It is 10 minutes form the Chiaia di Luna Beach.
It is one of the few and rare agriculture lands which still exist on the Island.
Here one of the finest wines of the Island are produced. Pulses are cultivcated
here, especially lentils and broad beans.
During the second half of the last century, two German researchers, father and
son, Schneider, discovered at the Fieno, the remains of a Centre for the workmanship
of obsidian, a material which was transported from the nearby island of Palmarola.
