Stacks of the "Madonna"
Description:	Punta e Faraglioni della Madonna inherit their name from a small chappel on the "Madonna della Salvazione" dug in the rock in what is today the cemetary . During the Roman period these stacks were connected to the present cemetary area, and were part of the "Summer Home of Augustus" ("villa estiva di Augusto"). One can still admire the mansory. One cannot reach it by foot, it is 0,6 miles from the port a 6 minute journey. From 3:00 pm onwards the rocks are in the shade.
