| Description: |
Like in other parts of th Island
( Scotti , Conti, Guarini ) the name of the Cove derives from the surname of
the collonials who inhabited it. It was previously called Cala delle Fornelle,
or I Forni.
It is accessible via land and is 5 miles from the Port, therefore, a 50 minute
walk. The sun is present from 9:30 am until 4:00 pm approx.
Its western side has a more jagged coastline due to the continuous atmospheric
and aeolian modifications; marine erosions, which have taken place throughout
the centuries. Looking toward the sea from the left hand side of the beach of
Cala Feola, there is the "Fontone" better known as Piscine Naturali
